This guy made a whole bunch of bad choices. To give the guy a felony charge seems a little harsh. I guess check and double check because the police do not always understand.

Read about that yesterday - I think the Police way overreacted. Child Endangerment, really?

Empty lot. Nobody or anything got hurt. Maybe just a warning and cuffing the dad in front of the kid would have been enough.

I agree.
Make the dad pay for repainting the parking lines and call it a day. Arresting him,.......way overboard in my opinion.

In my country he would loose his license for atleast 6 months, and get a big ticket to pay. Also possible jail time..

^well F' having fun in your country then... lol
matter of fact your screen name avatar picture would lead you to a cold prison on the border of finland where your closest friend is a penguin all the while you wear a cowhide jacket and burlap underwear huh?.. some freedom.
more and more "fun" is being labeled "wreckless"... and to me Musclecars are a chariot of living life.. if that is a crime then.. well.. i guess im a 4 wide tire-d crook.

HeHe.. The truth is that if you are interested in anything motor related, you have the "whole country" against you, if somebody wants to start a go-kart track, motocross, car track or whatever everyone wants it away, even though it is friendly for the kids and keeps "maniac" driving away from roads and keeps youth occupied with something fun.
BUT if it has anything to do with soccer, then they turn the country upside down for them to get everything they want..
But I guess since we have a country so against motor related thing, thats why we go bananas when we first Hot Rod cars and such.
Rally was forbidden for 10 years because our Minister of Transport thought it looked dangerous. Another Minister of Transport in our country DID NOT HAVE A LICENSE!! How can that even happen?
Worlds Greatest Country MY ASS HeHe.. Backwards Country number ONE!!
Other stuff is mostly okay though :)

Hmm, have you not been listening to those in power?
Anything powered by something other than puppy dog kisses or Aunt Erma's bad breath should be smashed into a million bits and pieces and the owner forfeits all they have and more (to include replacing the oxygen they and all their ancestors consumed all of their lives).
If you choose Aunt Erma's bad breath you'll require an EPA permit and it requires post combustion scrubbers.
Haven't you heard from Al and company that humanity is the scourge of the Earth?

But, what I'm saying is that we "currently" are able to enjoy.... And even more so the things of the past. I'm well aware of the fire we are under for the future though.
