Excellent reputation, a leader in Pontiac performance. First rate family business. SD Performance in another excellent Pontiac performance source.

Bought a few parts from them including
some custom stuff. Never wanted to spend the
money on their motors as they are pricy but have
heard nothing but good about them
That being said my last motor with big hp 755
a 494 Pontiac was done 3 times and I could
have bought two Butler motors. Now a MR1 block
with Roland Racing heads... Shaft system, new cam and
Easy roller solid lifters fixed it. Just took some time to
figure out the issues. Butler does not have that problem
You will be happy and better yet it is still a Pontiac

Pic in my title is the 494:)

Isn't this a question you should have asked BEFORE you had a motor built?? LOL
It's a little late to find out if they were a bogus builder after your motor is supposed to be finished.

He's got jokes,,,LOL,,,YEA I Did a lot of research it's just that even with good recommendations I have been let down just like what I'm dealing with now with the guy installing my 4 link and 9 in ,,,he called me and left a message saying there is something wrong,,,,,and he was recommended by Art Morrison ,,I will be taking pics and posting them up for advise on what you guys think...

Hey Gregg how did that Tony Otto engine
work out for you???... he was the Norcal
Shelby go to guy... I have many friends with
his motors and no issues and you and a few
more with no luck... Recommended a Cleveland
motor guy down south who has done a ton of
the Silverstate guys motors with all kinds of luck
to a local Pantera guy and three times they
could not get it right.. he had someone build him
a new one..sound familiar.. Bulter is good but
I bet they have had some issues over time
Just depends on your luck
