Hello,,,I am a new guy here,,,looks like a place for me,,I am currently building my first car That I have had for about 23 years ,,a 78 ta into what Im hopeing will be something pretty nasty,it is at this moment having a new cage installed and an Art-Morrison 4-link with a Ford 9" with back brace,,it will be having a Butler Performance 501 cu engine that is supposed to make close to 700 hp.The wheels are FIKSE 18"with 9.5" fronts and 12" rears with Wilwood brakes 13"rear and 14"front.HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE CAR BEFORE THE BUILD

So it seems that all my pics are too big,,,,OH WELL ,,,As soon as my car is back on wheels it's being transported to METALWORKS CLASSICS in Eugene OR, For the rest of the build,,,The guy putting the rear clip in isn't being careful enough to continue the project since the first time I went to see the progress my car had 3 new scratches,,,and his response was it's not like it was a 20 k show paint job,,,I'm sure everybody here can understand how I felt,,,,I'm thinking he is lucky I'm a pretty mellow guy most car guys don't take kindly to dents and scratches.:sarcasm_smiley:

Welcome! You can use a site like photobucket.com to reduce the picture size in order to post pictures. Sounds like you've got a nice project going. Good luck on the build.

Awesome project, and welcome aboard!
I think I would have come unglued if someone working on my car scratched it and didn't think it mattered!

After he noticed i was pissed off he blew the car off with air then wiped the rest of the dirt off with a rag,,,I was in shock,,,,,the car has only been rinsed and dried off a few times before and had never been that dirty now I am sure the clear coat is all scratched up,,,well I guess since the new fiberglass hood and scoop need to be painted I will have to go over the whole car again or what ever metalworks thinks is best.

Loving the Fikse FM10's. By far the best looking wheel they make, IMO.
Nice 911 in the avatar as well.

I am going to the guys shop this morning to look at the install of the Art Morrison 4-link and new 9 in that he built because he left me a message saying there is a discrepancy on something ,,,not sure what the problem is yet but I'm going to be taking pictures of what's been done and what ever the problem is,,I'm thinking that he built the rear end either to wide or to skinny ,,,I was very specific on how I wanted it to sit and the spacing between the tire and lip of the fender ,,I would really appreciate any thoughts, comments or concerns,,this is really starting to turn ugly quik ,,first the paint is all banged up then this,,,I really wish he wasn't recommend to me by ART MORRISON,,, the big problem is he has got 13 k out of me for parts and labor and I need to get my money worth but if things are done wrong ,that is not going to work obviously...:drowninga:

Those wheels are going to look great on there. Hope you're planning to roll the fender lips if you're wanting go out even more with the tires.

No that's where they are going to be,,we are going to raise up the shock mount brackets about an inch so it can go a little lower,I want about a 2" gap..I am going to have metalworks classics trim and roll the fenders,,after the build is done before the final bodywork and paint,,,I can't wait to cruise around with 700 HP,,In a car that will handle too,I'm used to going in a straight line.:lateral: :lateral:

What are you doing for oiling
as they tend to starve around corners
Accusump might be the best solution
