So I bought Front Suspension Geometry Pro a few years back. Not a bad program for the money and I like that you can add shims. I have yet to hear of someone using this program however

Next one I was looking at was Susprog. Does front and rear for a decent price but again, have yet to see anyone use it.

Then of course there is the one everyone seems to use, Performance Trends. I'm thinking there must be a reason most of the pros use it. Only problem is the full vehical version is out of the budget right now. http://performancetrends.com/SuspAnzr.htm

Should I just wait another week or so and get Performance trends full or stick with what I have?

I've been using susprog for about 15 years. It works well and gives you a lot of info to work with.

Good luck with whatever you choose

Thanks for the input.
I'm at the point where I think I'll just buy the performance trends full software so if I need some help I can send a file to someone for help. I do like the "shim" input but dont know if it is a shim or changes pick up points in fgsp. Don't know if the other programs have that or not.

I'd get the Performance Trends software.
You can upgrade to the full version later, I think you just pay the difference in price.

You can upgrade to the full version later.
Thanks Mr. Pozzi, your input means a lot to me. You and Mary are my Idols. :)

I personally use, recommend & sell the Performance Trends software products for a few key reasons. Besides being accurate, they're easier to use than most others, have good visuals, great graphs & you can buy the level you need without having to buy a full blown race car designing version.

The three common versions I recommend are:

1. PT's basic front suspension software, called "Roll Center Calculator"
I recommend this version for car guys working out their front roll center, camber gain, dive evaluations, etc. It's only $79. Go HERE (http://shop.ronsuttonracetechnology.com/shopping/productDetails.aspx?i=336873&c=6098).

2. A better route is getting their "Roll Center Calculator PLUS"
For $129 ... it also includes rear suspension & overall handling calculations, which I think is important. The FLLD calculation in the "Plus" is worth the price of the software all by itself, because you can work out combinations of roll center, spring rates & sway bar rates and KNOW how balanced the car will be. This allows you to work out your spring & sway bar rates ... front & rear ... for a neutral handling balanced car. Go HERE (http://shop.ronsuttonracetechnology.com/shopping/productDetails.aspx?i=680418&c=6098).

Both of these software versions above are pretty easy to learn & use.

3. I use the full design version, called "Suspension Analyzer" which allows me to design every aspect of the car's suspension & see the 3D results. It is more complex to use, mainly because you have to sort through a gazillion input options most guys won't use. I have found Performance Trends Suspension Analyzer is the easiest to use of the complete, 3D software brand options, but that's like saying brain surgery is easier than rocket science. It's $399 & you can get it HERE (http://shop.ronsuttonracetechnology.com/shopping/productDetails.aspx?i=715554&c=6098).

I am a fan of people learning this stuff, measuring their cars, experimenting with set-ups, etc ... and for that you'll want to purchase & learn the appropriate software.

For other car guys that aren't interested in doing multiple cars & just want to get their one car optimized ...
be it roll centers, steering, spring & sway bar rates or building a custom suspension ... I offer a large menu of tech services to do this for you. It's a pretty simple process and an everyday part of my business model, where I provide you instructions & a form ... you measure your car ... I input the numbers to calculate what your current set-up is ... and then use my knowledge & experience to design you an optimum set-up. I provide you with the realistic changes to make & you end up with a highly optimized suspension set-up. These services start at $39 & up. You can see them HERE (http://www.ronsutton-racetechnology.com/pages.item.9/Technical-Services.html).

If anyone needs help deciding on a software ... or potentially one of my tech services ... feel free to contact me & discuss.

Thanks Ron!
Have used the PT trial before and it was great but for a minitrucker(everyone starts somewhere) it was to much $.Was thinking of you when I said "so if I need some help I can send a file to someone". Someday I will get you to help me fine tune. I read all your posts over and over until I understand. Everyone on this site is very helpfull but your way of explaining things is eaisier for me to understand.
