I have a LS 427 fuel injection motor 618hp and am looking for a good inline fuel pump and set up. Car will see the road race track once a year and a few auto crosses but mainly a street car. Looking for your feed back. Thanks

I see that you have an fuel safe fuel cell which is the same set up I have.
I've been considering running an in tank pump with a a surge box made by ATL that can fit inside a fuel cell.

Is there a specific reason you want to run external?

I'm not sure I can run a pump inside with the current set up of the fuel cell. I will need to call fuel safe to find out.

Im running an external walbro 255, you have double my HP so you might need two pumps to keep up and possibly put some heat syncs on the pump since they are external and will be working hard.

The Bosch 044 inline pump will go 685BHP where the Walbro 255 is 390. I have read nothing but great things about the Bosch 044, looks like that is the high HP tuners preference.

I have used the Holley 12-700 (https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_pumps_regulators_and_filters/fuel_pumps/carbureted_electric_fuel_pumps/parts/12-700) pump system for almost 2 years now the key to a GREAT system is the return line, sure you can run a dead head system but a fuel system with a return line runs cooler, smoother, draws less amps, and is quieter. With the 12-700 you decide fuel injection or carb with the regulator, really easy, Im switching to an intank setup with baffles for large tracks

i looked into the bosch 044 and bosch says install should be in conjunction with a second in-tank pump, my question is can the 044 be used by itself?

I spoke with Bosch tech and it can be used by itself to about 700hp FI

I run 2 aeromotive pumps in a fuel safe cell. There are pickups running to the trap inside, but the connections are on top. Fuel safe are the ones that built it this way for me.

1 pump can handle 1300 hp fuel injected and 1000 injected with forced induction. More if it's carbureted.

I assume you are referring to the Aeromotive 1000
