I am getting ready to weld in the axle tube tabs for my musclebar install on my 69 firebird. I have the coil overs at 14.5" eye-to-eye with the axle being nearly perfectly level. I also checked the cradle cross bar and it is very nearly perfectly level. I have the musclebar bolted up with its cross bar nearly perfectly level too. When I set the driver's side arm level the passenger side is not...the posilink end is low and you can tell that the tabs wouldn't be at the same angle on each side of the rear axle. Is this normal? Do I set the arms somewhere in the middle as far as being level before I weld the tabs on? Could the arm mounts on the musclebar be welded on wrong?

Try loosening the bolts that attach the arms to the Musclebar, get the arms parallel with each other and retighten. There isn't much play in them when they are loose, but a little difference at the bolts is a lot at the end of the arms. Another thing you can do is take the bar out and install the arms on a flat surface. When you install the arms on a flat surface you know they are parallel with each other.

Thanks...I'll try that.
