Saw this online. While I'm not into the final design per se, the process that he got there is quite interesting. Just another example of ingenuity and resourcefulness applied to building a car.

It appears to be a 2 part (exothermic) expanding foam, similar to that of the expanding household insulation you can get in a a spray can. I used to use 2 part urethane "fast cast" compounds like this in college for building models.

I saw that a couple of years ago, I agree not much of a fan of the final look but but the time he put into it is WOW!!!

its a urethane expandle closed cell foam that comes in various densities from 2-16 lb.it can be bought in sheets also. very strong and easy to shape.it looks primative but good for prototyping.

Anybody know what density would be used for shaping like this?
