Car & Driver tested the GT at 0-60 at 4.6 sec. Motor-trend tested it at 4.4 sec. However, Motor-trend did say it was faster and a 1/4 mile of 12.8 sec. at 112.8 mph! Now they did test it on their figure 8 track and the 2015 was faster than the last Mustang Boss 302 they tested!

I would love to see a side by side comparison of the new Stang and a Taurus. It's as if the designers were tired and gave up on styling. Lose the body and gimme the drivetrain.

I agree with you on that.
I hate the new body styling. Doesn't look aggressive at all. My 2013 looks way meaner than the 2015.

I agree too. Love the interior but that exterior is horrid.

As a 2013 GHIG Roush Stage 3 owner,.....I more interested in what Roush will do with the car. Maybe then I will like the new styling. lol :D

Funny, I think it looks way better than the last generation.
It will be way too tall and the trunk lid will be way too high off the ground, but that's just how new cars are (the trunk of my parent's new Taurus is taller then my wife's '93 300ZX!).

Yeah,.....most of the people on the Mustang forum I belong to love it. I do not.
I hate the front end, the side view and that rear is just ugly. Doesn't have that aggressive look to it. It lost it's lines, so to speak.
But, hey, different strokes for different folks.

Agreed... that's why they make different flavors of ice cream!
By the by, I cannot stand the current Camaro. Looks like a cartoon version of a Camaro if you ask me. Some of the newer Mustangs have that look too.
Have you seen the new Mustang in person?

I don't like the new Camaro since it came back into production since 2009/2010. Although, they are making some nice changes to it here and there.
I have not seen a 2015 Mustang in person.

+1 for not being in love with the exterior styling. To me it's bland. It reminds me of a Hyundai, and a bunch of other cars blended together. (There may have been an article on Jalopnik about this) In its defense, though, most new cars suffer from this. I'm sure it's a result of platform sharing/ parts sharing, set standards for ergonomics and safety, and too many "cooks in the kitchen" resulting in a design by committee to appease too many people.

Odd... That's OK, of course. Different flavors and all that.
I do agree on how designers have to work around so many standards. New cars are stupid tall! My folks just bought a new Taurus, and the trunk lid is taller than my wife's '93 300ZX. I'm completely serious!
I am not completely convinced until I see it in person, but at least in photos, I love the thing.
Anyone know when they're due to hit showrooms?

For some reason,.....I'm digging the Hennessey the best out of all that I have seen so far. Even the Roush, and I own a '13 GHIG Roush RS3. :RunninDog:

Quote: Melanie Banker, Mustang marketing manager put it simply: "The EcoBoost engine is a whole new proposition that we don't have today," and well, people just aren’t accustomed to it. She did say, though, that through clever use of ads, they can steer buyers’ opinions in the right direction - "People look forward to Mustang advertising. It's usually pretty fun. We're selling dreams."

I would and was considering it. For 28k you can get and ecoboost with the performance which include better brakes, suspension cooling and a 3.55 diff. Ohh and it weights 200lbs less than a v8 and has better weight distribution.
I'm sure that will kill a good amount of brz frs sales. You just get more car for the money.
Also it will only be a matter of time before the tuners come out with 400hp bolt on/tune setups.

I would rather in inline 6... Still, I had a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, and that thing was cool. Never owned an SVO Mustang, but I wouldn't kick one out of the driveway, that's for sure.

To each his own..............I have owned a 2005 V6 Mustang for the last 8 years and I have taken a lot of kidding, but its a nice daily driver and will now be the perfect car for my son as he turns 16 soon!! (Now it does have a lot of nice mods to it, so he is Very Excited!!) But, I personally will buy a V8 next time!

The last 'Stang I owned was a custom '99 Saleen clone and I have to admit that the '14 Mustang is the best looking one in the last 20 years. I think by far the "tuner" Mustangs look better than the stock one and I hated this one until I saw what Roush did. The Hennessy one looks great too. Stock still looks like a Hyundai, though.

After owning my new Focus I would consider the ecoboost mustang. I think Ford's 4 cylinder program is the best in the industry right now.
Also I love the ecoboost so much that I am buying one for my hotrod very soon.

There are reasons cars are tall. This article talks to one of them:
