I got to watch them from the Bay Area's largest tugboat a few years back and it was the most amazing show. Glad they are back. Incredible show.

never miss them. Except for last year. I can't wait for this year, my son is now 3 and loves fighter jets. Its going to be a blast.
The F-22 with its incredible handling is my favorite.
Joes crab shack and military planes makes for a great weekend.

Heres my favorite shot from 2 years ago.....scared the hell out of my boy, he was 11 months at the time. This time around I hope to see him redeem himself. :bump: Not the Blue Angles but an F-18E

Crissy field but I don't like crowds.

We usually have brunch at Joe's crab shack then walk a block down to the water front and watch next to the USS Pampanito Submarine museum. There's a small open area there. We get there early (11am) to get good spots. Red Lines

If you are coming from the Bay Bridge i'd plan on getting there by 10am. It gets bad after that.

One year we parked at the parking structure across from the Spy shop and it was a great view but was $10 more to do so. $40 total to park there.

If you want loud, get up by the gift shop at the Golden Gate Bridge. The jets get super close and fast when they make their approach to Crissy field. But you don't get to see the full show.

Best place is on the back of a boat. A lot of guys giving boat rides that weekend.

Should be a great show this weekend. Looks like Sundays weather will be best.

Went to check out the parade of ships and a pair of V-22 Osprey circled a few times. Blue Angels didn't practice today due to weather. They did 6 passes in the Delta formation.

Two years ago I was doing a maintenance on top of a roof on UCSF Parnassus and they flew over during practice. Pretty cool having them buzz 150 feet above me. Still not as cool as when I was station at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hi and they were using our hanger for their base away from home. Our hanger was the closest to the runway so we got to watch them practice their marching out, plane captain commands and then take off 6 wide...

We talked about going to the bay area this weekend to see them. But didnt want to brave the traffic for a last minute decision.

I do hope to take the kids to see them soon!

Wish they let Fat Albert rip it up again.

They ran out of the JATO packs a year or two ago. Apparently Fat Albert was to only user of them since Vietnam! lol
