View Full Version : WINNER ANNOUNCED: Lateral-g June give away contest!

XcYZ
06-01-2006, 07:58 PM
The total amount of operations is 56. The winner is Musclerodz with a guess of 55. I'll PM you with the details.

The Swag: A set of 2nd Gen F-Body tubular upper control arms from SpeedTech Performance (http://www.speedtech-performance.com/).

The Contest trivia question: The cross shafts are machined out of stainless steel. Tell me how many operations it takes to machine the set from raw material to finished product. At the end of the month, the first person who guessed correctly or came the closest to the correct number wins the set of tubular arms.

The Rules: Post your guess in this thread. In the event of a tie, the person who answered/posted first is the winner. You may only post once. My Moderators are not eligible to win although I encourage them to participate.

My Notes: I want to thank Todd and company at SpeedTech Performance (http://www.speedtech-performance.com/) for donating this month's prize. If you don't have a 2nd Gen F-Body, I still encourage everyone to participate as they can always be sold via the Lateral-g Classifieds.

No modifications required to install the Control Arms.
A complete factory replacement
Instructions on how to install the arms along with recommended alignment specifications.
Billet Aluminum outer housing with Black Acetron GP® type inner sleeves that have 0 deflection, low drag and self lubricating properties for a bind free operation.
The Bushings Do Not Squeak and are high wearing.
The Control Arms come Powder Coated with new hardware.
The Control Arms come fully assembled
Finally the WOW Effect

I would guess 18 operations or less if we exclude coating but include finish prep prior to coating.

NOTE: Are we going to include finish and coating? You might have five operations for coating alone. Both can go in and out of the bath together so do coating operations count as one for both or double?
