Without a doubt Bullit is the best movie car chase of all time. But what are others. Gone in 60 Seconds is very entertaining especially with the helicopter pilots comments and the Go Baby Go nitrous button.

"Drive" with Ryan Gosling is by far one of my favorite movies and there are a couple cool chases in it.

The original "Vanishing Point" is basically a chase the whole time. Great movie and awesome car.

Faster with The Rock is a good movie, but also has cool car scenes

(except for the GTO reverse scene, which I thought was cheesy)

Yes, and it's terrible.

Vanishing Point is a 1997 television remake of the 1971 cult film.

The film stars Viggo Mortensen, Jason Priestley, Peta Wilson, Christine Elise and Keith David and the same model 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T as in the original, and was directed by Charles Robert Carner.

The remake originally aired on the Fox television network on January 7, 1997.

Thats all I needed to know. HAHAHA

I think this is the longest car chase. I think they calculated it out and the run way is about 11 football fields long in the movie.

Longest run way ever..

This is only from memory. It is a long time since I saw it, but I remember Cobra has an ok car chase? With the 50`ish Mercury with Nitrous! :D

And a good chase in To Live and Die in L.A.
That Bourne movie when he drives in Russia is very good.
I dont have many other "good ones" that is not named.

Grand Prix has cool race clips

But there is many "car movies", but since they are not very popular (And often BAD...) they are forgotten and "lost in time" usually.. And sometimes good car chases are lost..

Olsenbanden, Norwegian films from the early 70`s usually had GREAT car chases, and always with atleast one full-size! :D

Original Gone in 60 Seconds - what is great about it is it's all "for real" in that they did not get any permits, block any roads, use movie cars for extras or get any permission for shooting the chase in the '73 Mustang. When he is hauling around the LA South Bay and flying up either the 110 or 710, that is actual traffic of people commuting home from work! People commenting to the "media" were actually commenting to movie people capturing responses of everyday citizens freaking out. When he clips the car on the freeway and shoot up the off ramp and flat T-bones that Mustang on the pole - all real, no stunt work! He hit that pole at something around 100 mph, fires the car back up and keeps going. Old Mustangs rule!

It is also my understanding when he destroys the dealership that he simply told the dealer he was going to shoot a movie scene there and the owner thought it would be great advertising - so when the first thing that happens was to plow into a row of brand new cars, the owner came completely unglued and you can see him running around the garage screaming - that is all real, not acting. While it is a bit sh!tty how those individuals were treated, it makes for an amazing chase scene!

Otherwise the movie is a bit of a bore haha.

the Bourne movie with the mini. I like chases that seem like a really good driver could actually do start to finish and that one is mostly believable. Actually most everything in the Matt Damon Bourne movies has a "believable" feel to them so I really like all three of them.

Kristi gets really irritated every time one is on TV because I have to watch it, and I have the set on DVD! I typically don't get into watching a movie more than once but there are a few movies that are like that. Ronin was mentioned here, I will watch that one if it is on. Pulp Fiction never gets old.

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. That whole movie was a car chase. Need for Speed in DETROIT....my hometown. It sucks the way they describe Detroit with the street directions going the wrong way. The opening race scene was pretty good.
