I have a LS3 with a 6 speed.

What is the best starter to run?

Part number or brand.

Thank You

I used this one, can't beat a new GM one- http://paceperformance.com/i-5146405-n6492-brand-new-ls-oem-replacement-starter-chevy-ls1-ls2-ls3-ls6-4-85-36-0l-truck-engines.html

That's a great price, but are you certain it's a GM unit? Looks good, but I'm just not sure based on the wording in the ad.

Either way it's sold by a reputable company and I'd bet it'll work just fine.

powermaster. or if you are running a gto tranny/bellhousing you have to use a gto starter i believe. Im doing a gtot56 in my 69 and have a factory gto starter. from what i read the gto starters are really good.

I found this out the hard way also, consequently I have a oem used fbody starter sitting on my bench. Two years ago the aftermarket starter manufacturers I contacted could not guarantee me their starters would fit the goat bell, so I went oem, perhaps that has changed by now. -Bob
