The Buick-Pontiac dealership is relocating and the old building is going to be torn down. I managed to get my hands on the signs. Took them down this morning.

Nice score!!! Which barn are you putting them in? And are you gonna make them functional?

When you're Mr. Lillard you "manage" to get your hands on the cool Stuff!
Nice nostalgia! You defiantly have room for those signs in your garage. They would look ridicules in mine!

Those things are huge. How are you going to hang them?

Charlie,
Those are in nice shape. What other signs like that do you own?

Here are a couple of other Pontiac signs I have and a cool OK used cars. I bought some 5/8" allthread to hang the pontiac sign. Should not be a big deal. The Buick sign is heavier though and I need to fix some stuff on it first.

Very cool Charley. There is a similar Pontiac sign hanging at the old Pontiac dealership building in Barnesville, Ga. but the powers that be will never sell it. That one obviously hung in the dry west, still looks new.

Hey Charley, is that red 'Bird the one that was on the rack when I was there? It looks pretty nice sitting there. And the shop looks cleaner for some reason. Oh yeah, you had the floor redone. No wonder I'm not allowed back.

Those signs are so cool. Nice score. How do you always find that stuff ?

Hey Charley - a little off topic, but what coating is that on your floor ? Does it last? Tire marks ?

Damn Charley. If I had a garage like that with all those cars, I wouldn't even need the house thats attached to it. I'd just live in the garage. I'd rent the house out to a small family or something.

Charlie,

Saw this in a magazine,

http://www.rmauctions.com/

It is an auction for Michael Dingman. He sat on the Ford board of directors, raced SCCA Trans AM, and is also one of the premier flathead v-8 collectors. He is selling off hundreds of neon and porcelain signs and other petroliana. The link works, but I can't seem to get a list of the signs.

Just an FYI.

The signs look great!

I don't think I want to try and buy signs at a auction..Too easy to get carried away....
