I posted the other night in LSX conversions, but I think I should have posted here since I'm a little new to this Forum.
Current project is my 86 Grand National.
I did all the frame bracing and body bracing and built the rear to handle the power. Initially, I had a 4.1 forged/alum headed built and bigger turbo, but it was time to update, update, update. Everything...
LSA supercharged crate engine with a turbo in front of it and a Lonnie Diers stage III 4L80E. Vintage Air system to clean up the firewall and make some room. The factory air is bulky and a little outdated.
I wanted to start with a clean car so I found a GN with 4600 miles. Zero rust time machine. Here is the progress on the install:

The Vintage Air is a kit for the gbody by Nick Micale at http://arizonagn.com/
Nick is actually doing the install work. He was the builder of the 4.1 we just removed. Very knowledgeable dude in the turbo Buick world.

Currently we are doing the wiring and plumbing. Been deep into that for the last two weeks. Also put in the Dakota Digital dash. I was sold after seeing one in person...
I'll post updated pics next week.
The original motor is in storage and the 4.1 I traded back to Nick Micale in exchange for the complete install before going to Rob at Forced Induction Tuning for the turbo's.
Should be an all summer long project.

Nice!

I am curious too, what motor mounts you used.

Thanks

Fbody mounts and Spohn adaptors. Fit great.

Update: Car running and done at Nicks shop and now it is off at Rob at Forced Induction Tuning having the twin turbo's installed. I'll post pics next week when some progress takes place.

F body mounts for the LS engine, or standard small block?
Thanks.

F-body mounts for the LS. They mount to the block and the adaptors mount to the frame. This worked out for me because I notched the frame for the lower SD5 A/C compressor to tuck tight at the bottom with the Alan Grove compressor mount.

If I did the Small block mounts and adaptors they would sit forward more on the frame(I guess or unless I made my own), but he Spohn mounts worked great and are beefy.

It's coming together. Worked out all the location details and the ZL1 top looks much better than the CTS-V top on this LSA.
Coming together!
