Finally getting my wish to have an LSA in my GN.
Went through the suspension, brakes and reinforcing the frame with a notch before undertaking this conversion.
Lonnie Diers Stage III 4L80E Transmission with custom cut Billet 1st and 2nd gears 2.75 1st, 1.57 2nd.
Cooling system is already converted to a Ron Davis radiator so cooling should not be an issue.
Was running my stroked 4.1 on E85 and hoping to have this running on E85.
Nick Micale is doing the install with his vintage air conversion for more engine bay room.
After in and running a turbo (or twin) is(are) going in front of the supercharger to turn up the volume a little.
Total project should be around 2 months.
Here is this weeks progress:

Turbo side started!
Finished at Nicks shop and delivered her running to Rob at Forced Induction Tuning last Tuesday. We decided that the best fit and look was going to be smaller twin turbos.
Should see some progress this next week. I'll get some pics.

This should be awesome!

It's coming together. Worked out all the location details and the ZL1 top looks much better than the CTS-V top on this LSA.
Coming together!

I'm curious about this too. I just see it as in-efficient and in my head it just seems like if its not configured just right, the SC is going to be a bottle neck with twin turbos are forcing air in. IS there engineering behind this or just a "lets see what happens"

Forced Induction Tuning has been doing this for years to the CTS-V.
Many hours of dyno testing over the years has tuned this to a very conservative 850 rwhp that idles like glass on pump gas. He has done a few with single turbo's, but for the street small twins work better in all lower rpm applications.
Agreed it is over kill and I'm sure with a cam and a much smaller pulley on the SC 850 rwhp might be doable, but I'm not looking for an aggressive sounding engine. I want it to drive like a Cadillac... And under the hood looks amazing now.

Are you going to run an a/c compressor?

Yes, The A/C compressor is on the passenger lower. It has been on the car since install. I notched the frame and used the Alan Grove bracket. Fits perfect with the Sanden SD5. Vintage air is on the car to clean up the engine compartment.
Post 1&2 has pics of the compressor and notch.

Pics of the Turbo Mani's and/or Crossover piping? Is it one hairdryer per bank, or merged twins?

So I sold the car after I finished the build and heard that some shop turned up the boost... It was already over 900hp! So he had to rebuild the engine.
So anyway, I see this article and I see the guy who bought my car taking credit for the entire build. Interesting. Well, I guess when you own it you can claim you built it... I guess I'm a little old school.

The story wouldn't be no where as cool had he said, "I bought the car this way..." and he know nothing about the car.
