Guys. Been a member here for a long time and spend way to much time here but its my favorite site. I have something to tell anyone taking androgel for low Testerone. Be sure you use a Dr. that specializes in male hormone replacement therepy. I have been on it for about 5 years. Started having problems about a year ago with high red blood count--- (thick blood viscosity), which is a side effect of androgel. My general practiononer has overlooked some serious side effects that almost killed me this morning. Had to be rushed by ambulance to hospital and turns out turns out I have several bad blood clots in my lungs. Since being on this stuff I have high cholesterol, am on blood press meds and a few other side effects. I can't for sure blame it all on it, but 2 doctors today told me it is what caused the blood clots. They said I should have seen a specialist instead of a GP for this. They said it was a close call that I made it and I will be in here for 2 or 3 days thinning my blood and clots. There are a lot of tv adds that are warning of these side effects and I didn't take it seriously, just thought it was a bunch of money hungry lawyers. So if you are on this, its no joke, use a qualified Dr.that knows his business. Hopefully this will help someone from going through what I am. Thanks guys.:thankyou:

Thanks dude. 2 or 3 days in ICU. They didn't say after that and Heck, I kinda hated to ask!! Not really feeling all that bad except it feels like a horse kicked me in between the shoulder blades. Don't have a t-bucket but I have a 69Z I am changing from a pro-street to a pro-tour. Been saving up for a new front subframe. Gonna go with a speed-tech. If I still get to go to the SEMA show, I'm going to try and talk them into a little discount! Hey thanks for caring, it really helps!!

Sounds like you've got an excuse to lay around and surf car stuff on the net! Well played!! LoL You know you're required by federal law to post pictures of any Pro-Tour "modifications" of any type to Lateral-G...right? You'll love the Speedtech setup! Nice stuff without a doubt. Blake, Rodger, Jay and the rest of the crew will be at SEMA . If for some strange reason they're not...you call me and I'll drive you to their shop in St. George, UT. You're buying lunch though.
Keep your spirit up and remember to laugh. It's just good for ya.

Why were you on it for so long? I was on it just until my t count came up. I get test shots occasionally to keep my count up.i think the shots are safer but im no doctor.i get blood work a few times a year to keep track of my levels

Thanks for all the support guys! I will post some pics of my car when I get home. Yea, they are all top notch at Speedtech! I guess with the rub on androgel it has to be applied everyday because it absorbs through the skin? I think the shots are safer as long as the dosage is right. The main thing is that you have a Dr. that SPECIALIZES IN MALE HORMONE REPLACEMENT. I found out the hard way! Thanks guys!
