Not a junk yard but a guy's house down the road from me has these cars along with a couple of challengers.

Let me guess none are for sale.

I hear that he might be intrested in selling but everytime I go to knock on his door, no one answers. I should take pics of his challengers. They look to be in good shape.

Pictures like that always depress me. I don't know how people can have cars like that and not do anything with them :( . I would love to have that '56 Buick :wow: .

It's funny, my wife and father-in-law just looked over my shoulder at those pictures and said "Look at that guy's yard, what a bunch of rusty junk! Who would want to live like that?"

Meanwhile...I have a drool cup under my lip thinking about all the great treasures and potential hotrods that could be buried in there.

Hey Wifey, why don't you and your parents go have fun at the Christmas Tree shop or searching for girly yardsales.....[sigh] they just don't get it. :D

Reading Sunday paper: Me (to girlfriend) wanna 72 Chevelle has air, need motor and trans(got both)

GF: no I don't want that, (prevoiusly has said "why do you want to drive a old car like that"???)

Fastfoward to Daytona Rod Run,

GF: Hey what's that, points to 72 Chevelle, done nice!

Me: thats a 72 chevelle, like the one I wanted to buy,

GF: it must of been one of your other GF's you never said anything to me,

Me: pull out hair jump up and down, supposedly straight car $1400,

Now she likes 68-72 Chevelles, and 72-74 RR and GTX's, Satallites,

That's half the battle...at least she likes them. My wife's entire family thinks I'm an idiot because I "fix up crappy old cars".

Get this: We bought a house in 03 and when we moved in, I towed my 70 Nova (in pieces) to the house and put it in the garage. Since the house was filled with other stuff from the previous family, (this house was a foreclosure) my wife's parents and grandparents opened the garage to see my Nova on jack stands. Her grandmother yells, "oh wow, they left that old POS here, I wonder who will take that...the Salvation Army maybe?" I had all I could do to keep my mouth shut...no one even stuck up for me!

Yep...I'm a certified mass-hole in Worcester or (wista). I won't step near that stupid store.

That carsinbarns.com website is awesome! I'm on there all the time.

This isn't a junkyard but I thought this is a good place for this picture anyway. I found this car way back in the woods on fort Bragg N.C. when I was in the army a couple of years ago. The car must have been there a very long time because if you havent noticed the tree is coming out of the engine compartment. The car has been there longer then the fairly large tree. Makes you wonder what the history is and how the car ended up there. It had alot of bullet holes in it. Maybe because it is on an army base but maybe part of how the car ended up there. It was not anywhere near any military fireing range.

I went through east Texas picking up shuttle parts, you should of seen the cars like that, I must of saw 20 of them,

Guys were trying to buy cars and trucks and ship them home to fl. the locals wounldn't sell, one older guy was selling left and right, after the town and local were finding out we all had cash, there daughters were for sale, I didn't find anything I wanted,
