Check out the GM Performance Parts 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that will run Hot Rod Power Tour and to be seen at many other upcoming events.

FORMULA 43 built a set of RAD 10, 19" Club Sport Wheels with our Laguna Gray powder coated finish on the center sections. The outer rims are brushed with a low gloss clear coat over them. These wheels are not exactly bolt on as the GM guys custom flared the wheel wells to fit the wider tires and wheels. Read about it here:

I agree, great build! At first when I was told about it over a year ago, I was on the fence until I saw the first rendering.

After searching about this generation of Monte Carlo you can find a good variety of suspension parts and has a full frame. On C-List here in the Detroit Metro area you can pick up a very nice mid to later eighties Monte hard top or even Aero coupe for well under $8K depending on what your looking for and condition, etc. Myself I would toss the motor and trans and do the LS3, 6-speed combo.

I can say now I'm a fan of the Monte Carlo when built to PT specs! Great job GM Performance and I'm sure they're enjoying it on Power Tour this week.

Hopefully we'll see it at many more events this year as well.

275/315 stance is relative easy to get.. A lot of stuff out there for the G-body platform.. Like the flared fenders too

Of all your offerings that wheel is by far my favorite.

Of all your offerings that wheel is by far my favorite.

Thank you for the positive feedback! I'm pleasantly surprised by how popular the RAD 10 is, not only on PT applications, but on others as well.

We originally designed the RAD 10 as a track duty/pro-road race wheel.

Taking years of working with and supporting teams in Word Challenge, Grand-Am, IMSA, ALMS, Trans-AM, etc. we listed many important features for a race winning wheel design. Things like easy and quick handling for pit stops, radial stiffness, weight, lug pocket size, lug pocket orientation, material wall thickness, etc. We came up with a simple radial ten spoke design. After performing beyond expectations in testing (FEA, Lab & on Track) we added the sculpted spoke features to reduce weigh by 0.6lbs per wheel without sacrificing stiffness or strength.

Sometimes its best to go back to the basics and not to over think things.

Use designs that work and are proven winners!

Thanks again for your positive comments!
