View Full Version : 69 Camaro ls swap/ having issues with McLeod hyd clutch conversion
This Mcleod piece looks nice but I'm having issues with install, fit and function. When all installed I only have a about half the pedal stroke. It bottoms out about halfway down. Doesn't release clutch at all. Not spongy at all, power bled. Throw out bearing travel checked and piston changed as per McLeod instructions. Inside where the pedal mounts to the rod doesn't line up with stock firewall for crap. Anyone use this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to tell us or get 20 lashes with a whip. It might help the next guy.

yes, a follow up on this would be nice.
i just installed the mcleod hydraulic throw out bearing on my project and still need to mount the clutch pedal and master cylinder.
it would definitely be helpful to know what happened with your installation.
thanks!

I'm considering this switch and would also benefit from a follow up.

I have not read anything good about the McLeod piece. They have a reputation for leaking etc. Tick Performance makes a lot nicer part. It costs more but works flawlessly.
