Throwing this out here - Michael and Damon in "The Original One Lap Camaro" have wounded their Richmond 6-speed in their second gen. They are currently at Mid-Ohio Raceway (Lexington, OH) and are heading towards either Gingerman Raceway in South Haven Michigan or back to Tire Rack in South Bend, IN. If anyone has a Richmond 6-speed and/or some shop space these guys could use a hand. PM or email me if you can help.

Thanks

James

Wish I could help, but I don't know of anyone with that Trans.

no one knows anybody with that transmission... no parts, no availability, and not the most reliable thing in the world but Michael likes them. They are going to try to push through the last two days with 1st, 3rd, and 5th.

I am sure you guys already have called, but summit and jegs are both within an hour of the track. Might be to late now since you posted yesterday, but I thought I would throw it out there. I think jegs sells them, their warehouse is in Delaware, OH. Good Luck!

neither Jegs or Summit have any parts - most appeared to be out of stock until 2015...

That's their way of saying that they don't want to deal with it anymore. Finding parts during OLoA is tough enough, but for that transmission it's double-tough.

I opened up the shop at work for them several years ago when they broke the trans at Road America. Optima Jim contacted mean their behalf. They pulled it out and took it to a local guy who had the parts but not before they missed the next day's stop and headed out of Milwaukee for Houston. Michael and Damon are pretty cool guys. He was also probably one of the first to run a Ridetech triangulated 4 link with coil overs.

Yeah - they're great competitors and are a blast. When they couldn't find part for the transmission this year instead of packing it in they pushed through to the finish and wrapped it up earlier today. A great effort and true OLoA spirit.

There are lots of very cool bits and pieces on that car including, as you mentioned, a very early RideTech 4-link setup. There is a ton of history in that car...
