I set my new wheels and tires under my 69 firebird to get a WMS-WMS measurement to get a Strange 9" ordered. I'm using a Ride Tech 4-link. I set the wheels with a 1" gap to the fender lip and got a measurement of 58.5. Does 1" seem too much...should I go a little wider?

You wont know until you drive it. If it doesn't rub and it looks decent you'll be fine

You can cheat the wheels to the outside until they are pretty tight. Inside is a different story. With that being said, you can space the wheels out, you can't move them in.

you can run tighter with a 4 link. 1" would be about right for a leaf set up

I ended up increasing my rear end width by 1/4" (1/8" on each side). This will give me around 7/8" clearance from the inside lip to the tire sidewall. That should be safe and look ok I think. So my WMS-WMS is 58 3/4" with an 18x11 rim with a 315 tire. Thanks for the input!
