View Full Version : Cheap is more expensive
You have heard me brag about this before, now I guess its official since USA Today has printed it...
http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/2014/03/11/when-being-cheap-doesnt-pay-off/6288659/
Most of you guys are smart enough to insert whatever else is important to you in this list :)

DOOH!! Well I gotta say the mattress thing took me several years to figure out, but after some real back issues, I realized that a GOOD mattress is a GOOD thing!!
A few of thw things that I won't skimp on are: toilet paper... Oke a finger thru and you'll see! Well, any hygiene product really. Paper towels, American Cheese, Golden Grahms, Blue Belle ice cream, Dr Pepper and Mtn Dew are the things that come to mind.
My dad always told me to "pay other people to do what they're good at and go make money doing what you're good at because your time is more important".
Too bad it took me too long to listen! LoL!

#9 is BS.... Negotiate your price with the vet? That comment completely goes against the article .... Pay a premium price for premium care... You want dirt cheap prices, you get dirt cheap care.... Want to be a cheap ass and wing it yourself after you google search it....then don't come crying to me when your pet is a disaster and it costs you big $$ for me to fix the problem now
The article theme is " you get what you pay for and sometimes it's worth if"....and then the advocate being cheap on vet care..... WTF?
yeah, its like anything else in the media...take what you need and let the rest lay.

Ya think maybe that same thing works for building cars???
I paid $105 an hour for building the '33 -- I think I got a bargain for what I paid compared to what I received. I told the builder -- "ya shoulda let me drive it FIRST -- I'd have paid double!"
