View Full Version : Exhaust that fits with Ridetech Stage 2?

Doing my research it looks like a number of people simply stop the exhaust just short of the rear axle so it doesn't get in the way. Some people run it under the axle. I guess my question is that if I go with a Magnaflow x pipe type system, can I make it work with my new Ridetech suspension in one of these ways. Is there a better way?

Dump them out the side in front of the rear tires
Tailpipes (which I recommend) will be a custom fitment. We typically run them under the axle. While that may sound a little "hillbilly" the reality is that the axle sits so far up in the car that you still have to turn the pipe up out of the muffler to get under the axle. We do it like that on velocity and the 48 Hour Camaro...works and looks good.

I have the RideTech 4 link, on my nova. and I did 3" up and over the axle and around the tank.

The complete system started with U bends, and then cut the angle/degree we need.

Wow! I really like that set up. Thanks for the input all. I went with Stainless Works. It looks like I'll be able to run it up and through in a very similiar fashion and I like the tone. It will be here in 3 1/2 weeks. I'll let everyone know how it turns out. So far the Ridetech install is going pretty smooth. It's in and just needs to be aligned and driven for a bit to make sure there isn't any fender rub. Hopefully, it'll get done this weekend minus the new exhaust.
BTW Ridetech customer service is awesome. I had a duplicate part and they sent a replacement over night.

I used the kit that Stainless Works used to sell, was called "Prodigy Pipes" or something like that. I heard they will only sell it if you buy their exhaust set up.
