I have a 68 Camaro that has the two stripes on the header panel, hood, wiper panel, trunk and rear spoiler. Rather than repaint I was thinking of replacing those panels with carbon fiber panels. I understand Anvil also sells the panels but since I am purchasing several panels I need to make an informed decision. I haven't called Anvil yet but I am leaning at them being my first choice.

If anybody has heard or tried ADVAN please post up and share your experience. I called the owner and spoke to him a while but of course he touted his own product.
Here are two links showing the product. By the way I just noticed their prices went up.

I am looking for real world experience, I searched the forum but found nothing. Thanks in advance.

Never heard of them personally. I like Anvil because I know what I'm getting. I've personally bought from them and their products are top notch and fit very well.

I think you are correct Jody. I even googled them and found limited information on any product they sell. Still I was just hoping if anybody had any real world experience. I don't expect the part to stand up to Anvils quality but for a daily driver maybe the alternative would be fine.

This is one of two reviews I found, not a Camaro, but nonetheless a review.

Anvil= 100% carbon fabric

you can pretty much guarantee that the Advan part will be fiberglass with a layer or two of carbon on top.

Not all carbon fiber composites are created equal for sure. Some carbon fiber will chalk must faster than others.

I love the look of a transparent candy or pearl midcoat over carbon fiber. Really cool. We're seeing the hydrographics guys doing it on larger and larger parts.

ADVAN has been around forever. I remember them from back in the highschool days but they were always in the import world. Mostly fiberglass and eurethane body parts and wheels from what I remember but that has been 20 years.

Like the guys said above... can't go wrong with a proven name like Anvil. Why test fate to save a few bucks when you will spend it 10x over in grief
