Trunk Floor Pan....Full or 7 Piece?

Hello everyone, I am finally beginning to purchase body panels for my '72 Chevelle Malibu and I have a question about the floor. I will be replacing the trunk floor and I was wondering which was better to buy/install, the full trunk pan or the 7 piece kit? Just as additional info, I will also be replacing both quarter skins at the same time. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!!

I went with a multi piece...easier to do by myself, I'm a fabricator so the welding and grinding was nothing new. If you know your going to replace every inch of the floor then do it one piece. It's also less weld joints to prep for paint

If you are changing out both qtrs then go full one piece floor. With the qtrs out of the way it's not bad to get the one piece in. Also looking at your pictures you will need the full floor anyway.

I wouldn't pull off both quarters and trunk floor at once uness you brace the snot out of the rear of the car or have a professional helping you....just my two cents....nothing would suck more then new panels fully welded and nothing lines up. I would do the floor first then the quarters if your doing it yourself

I agree. if its all the way back your gonna want the full pan anyways.

You have to completely remove the 1/4's to get a one piece floor in. The one piece has to go in from the bottom, so piecing it will definitely be easier. I pieced mine in, but I am not building a show car, just a driver.

It can be done without taking the quarters off...you need time stick out your tongue...have a couple beers....patience...and probably some swearing
