Research says it's made by Norinco and maybe not the best shooting shotgun, but man it looks like a cool toy.

Not legal in the US either...

What I really like about a straight magazine fed shotgun is how fast you could change munitions for the objective. Buck, Slugs, Bean-bag, Tazer, etc.

Saiga 12's are like sitting on a burning box of shot gun shells. Not a great idea but tons of fun.

I always wanted to make a belt fed slug gun.

I converted mine to bullpup, autogas plug, drum fed, and had all the action polished. Runs like a dragon on redbull.

Sign me up for one of those!

I'm no expert Jeff but that was mentioned in a couple forums where the model was being discussed. I'm guessing the barrel or overall length is too short?

I've tried to get a handle on some of those regulations. I first thought it was all federal and nationwide, we all had the same rules/laws, but apparently the rules can vary state to state. In Tennessee you can have almost anything if you are willing to apply for a tax stamp (federal process). Short barrels, suppressors, etc. The only definite I found is full-auto. Illegal everywhere for all but law enforcement or manufacturers (but I get the impression there are sneaky ways around that too). The worst of it is, if you make a mistake, the "I didn't know" defense will not work.

Shotguns (in CA) have to have a barrel of at least 18 inches. Not sure in other states. This looks shorter than 18?

I know semi auto centerfire rifles have to be a total of 30 inches (so no folding stock) in CA but not sure the total length shotgun minimum.

It is a bear just to stay on top of these rules. :buttkick:

You could set it up as an AOW with a few mods but it may be iffy. try a search here: www.calguns.net

"An A.O.W. is a weapon classification utilized by the B.A.T.F. to categorize and restrict those weapons that are not considered to be a rifle, pistol, or machinegun. An example of an A.O.W. is a short-barreled shotgun or a pen-gun. They are class III (NFA) items, and must be approved for transfer to individuals at the federal level (with a "form-4"). Cost to transfer= $5.00"

I believe if run a single shot sled to make it a single shot during transfer you could reconfigure after registration.

I believe OR is 18 on shotguns and 16 on rifles.

I also believe Class III permits solve those problems. :rules:

Whaaaaaaatttt, it's a good place to start...is it cause it's CA base? NFA Laws are laws no matter where you live.
