What other rear end would fit under 1977 cutlass 442 that would have disc brakes and would be a bolt up a go situation I'm putting a LS motor in the car.

The rear out of a 94-96 Impala SS should fit (it's essentially the same chassis), but there are myriad kits out there to put discs on the rear that is currently installed in your car.
The rear in your car should be a corporate 10 bolt. If so, it's damned strong. Add a posi, and a nice disc kit, and you're golden.

Ok thanks I talk to wilwood at this time they do not make disc brakes for this rear end thats in the car because it has a pressed on bearing but they did go on to say they have a kit coming out in two months I talk to them four different times about this. So thats why I was asking about a different rear end and I thought it might be cheaper to go this route. Thanks for the info

Still not having any luck finding a different rear end to bolt up. Surely there's a different A-body that will work that has posi and disc breaks on it. Anyone that could point me in that way that would be great.

I don't think the '73 to '77 ever came with rear discs. If they did, they're bound to be super rare.
The frame that underpins the '73 to '77 A-body was then used under the '77-up B-body. That's where you'll find your disc brake/posi rear, under a '91-'96 B-body. Your best targets are going to be the '94-'96 Impala SS and '91-'96 9C1 police equipped Caprice. These came with the corporate 10-bolt and rear discs. The Impala SS all had a posi, while most, but not all, of the police package cars did as well. It is not, however, a very robust posi, and I would recommend replacing it with a good aftermarket unit.
