So as usual I find out too late but come to find out Stielow was in town at Barber Motorsports Park (http://www.barbermotorsports.com) showing off the new Z28. Now where was my media invite :confused59: .

Nevermind any other crazy, laughable "news" you mind run across there about Bama.

BTW, when is there gonna be a PT event scheduled at Barber? That would be sweet. On my bicycle I guess.... ;-(

I can't find my pic of the giant spider.. I was out there a few years back for the Mustang 45th anniversary.

I mean this in the nicest possible way and hope that it is taken in the spirit that it is intended...

The pro-touring community can't afford to have an event at Barber... when you rent the track they provide a cost schedule for maintenance and repairs associated with "offs" and collisions with stationary objects. There is a per foot or per yard charge for grass, there is a replacement/repair cost for armco, etc. Bill's recon laps would upset the entire balance of the event :lmao:

James, I've actually heard similar from other organizations wanting to have events there. Most end up down the road at Talladega GP course or whatever. The insurance requirements alone I've heard are staggering at Barber. The Porsche/BMW clubs have an event or 2 a year there I think but they have a good number of people that attend from all over the southeast.

Everything I have read, it is still NA. The ZL1 is SC'ed.

So that's why we have been waiting for almost 3 months to see his new car in paint. He's been taken hostage by the confederates.

Highly unlikely but maybe GM will take a Z28 down the road a bit to the World of Wheels show that starts tonight hehe.

Wonder if he is staying over and taking advantage of the Porsche Driving School there at Barber

Yeah, he's here working on my Nova instead. He said he was soooo sick and tired of those F bodies. haha I wished :G-Dub:

Actually, there were flurries here yesterday so after last week's "snowpocalypse" they just shut everything down yesterday at first hint of snow. So he may be stuck.

The new Z is the best 5th gen yet hands down. They got it right on this one.

You are thinking of the Z06 which will be supercharged. The Z/28 is NA LS7. And I want one of each.

You're part right. I was conflating the z28 with the zl1.

I'd prefer N/A for anything that is to see extended track duty. JMO
