So I was at my Great Uncles 80th Bday party last weekend... So jokingly I say to him... "Hey! You just hit mid life crisis... You better start buying cars!" And he replies *It felt like it was a million years* "I wish I could but I have a 1970 350 Impala sitting in my garage that I havent even started in 20 years..."

I cant believe it... 60K miles 2 door vert... and I think Im going to be able to get my hands on it! He says NO RUST! Its been sitting in the garage for 20 YEARS!!!!!!! I was freeking out... Ill probably call him this week end to see if if he would be willing to sell it to me! I know that Impalas with low mileage are going for 12g's but Im hoping since its in the family and clearly not being used, that I can get it for a couple grand...

I CANT WAIT! I will keep you all posted! But in the mean time please post your thoughts and what you all think would be cool to start with, if this project ever goes through... Of course getting it to start would be job #1!!! But from there on... Its all a fantasy! So tell me what you guys would think would look good with this car!

Joe :D :D :D

Nice car. My Dad wrapped his gold 70 'vert around a light pole on Rte 128 in '72. He truely regretted that mistake!

I'd bag it, shave it, slap some 20"s on it and smack it in the A$$....done deal! Talk about perfect candidate for a monster BBC! Gotta love those drop-top land yaghts.

I would paint it 98 Caddy Diamond White pearl/white top with red interior.

Check the frame by the trans crossmember, they were notorious for rusting out very badly.

If that checks out OK, it would make a cool sleeper :unibrow:

HAHAHAHA! Im thinking more low budget my friends... HAHAHA! Im only 17... Going into college in 2 years and money is hard enough to come by as it is... SO! I was thinking tightening up suspension with new coils drop spindles and shocks... Then a dress up kit and a good cleaning of the engine compartment, then some fresh rims and rubber, and then last saving up for a nice brake package...

What do you think... In a perfect world it would get bagged, new paint, the BB 572, and an endless amount of other mods... But what can I do... Its just a little project to get me going! :D It will progress as time goes on!
