Hey All-

This is the unofficial mention that the official announcement is coming soon. Make sense?

We've got a very nice Nova build going in the shop, click here... (http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=44891)

Along with this build is an LS3 and T56 swap. Trouble is as you know with the T56 there are some big issues with tunnel clearance and the bigger trans. Traditionally the answer was to build a new tunnel similar to what was done in ResurreXion, Speedtech's 72 Nova test car. Many of you have seen our new clean fit T56 Camaro Tunnel cover (http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=43219)and thought it was pretty cool. Many also asked if a Nova cover would be in the line up soon. Well today we're installing our prototype on the '68.

We've found there is a significant difference between the Nova and 1st gen Camaro tunnels. The Nova tunnel is lower among other things, and to get the correct crankshaft angle the T56 sticks through the floor fairly high and requires a larger area of the tunnel to be removed. This cover is about 5.5" wide at the rear and 7.75" at the front. Overall length is 26" and it's about 3.5" high. Unlike the Camaro cover, a factory center console won't fit over this one.

As the install gets completed and we're satisfied the design meets our expectations, production will begin. I will likely post the official announcement along with more pics in the trans and vender section of the forum on Monday. Let us know what you think.

And with a custom console built around it. Overall it makes easy work of the T56 conversion.
The tunnel cover is now available on our website (http://www.speedtechperformance.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=364/category_id=61/mode=prod/prd364.htm) as part number 120510.
