I am in the middle of installing a new AAW classic update harness in my car. I was wondering if anyone has integrated the DSE wiper wiring into the stock pins in the AAW engine and dash harnesses. I saw it done on one of the a Red 69 Speedtech camaro I saw at a local car show but the owner wasn't around. I know the DSE wiring has a 30 amp fuse due while the stock stuff is a 15 amp one. Just trying to find ways to clean up the installation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I removed wire in the AAW kit to the bulkhead then wired the DSE pig tail to the engine side and to the switch side. Then swapped the fuse to 30 amp. Makes a nice clean install.

Hey Vince any more detail on how you did this?

The first step would be to find out how much length you need to reach the wiper connector.
Cut the DSE harness to the appropriate length.
One side will be on the engine side of the bulk head the other will be on the interior side. Using the extra blade and slot connectors supplied in the AAW kit they plug right in..

Next is to remove the DSE suppled fuse holder and wire. I cut it a few inches from the splice. yellow to the motor, yellow to the power feed and orange to the relay.
The section that remains from the yellow DSE harness will splice into the fused AAW wiper circuit.
Trace the fuse, flipped over, one side of the fuse circuit will be a 10 gauge pink ignition feed and the other will be the wiper supply. Splice or hook up to the wiper supply pin.

Next locate the AAW wire feeds to the factory wiper motor body side and engine side. Remove all pins by squeezing the gap tang on the blade connector (engine side) and inserting a scrib or appropriate pin removal too for the male end (body side).
You do not have to keep track of these wire because when you install the DSE harness you determine placement. Do one color at a time so you don't mix them up.

Once assembled you can start running your loom.

I have painless wiring harness, and the wires for the wiper motor were not utilized because I did not have a wiper motor. When I received the DSE wiper motor, I still did not need to use the Pigtail or wires from the Painless wiring for the wiper motor. The DSE instructions were very clear and only hooked up the yellow wire from DSE kit to a power source and black one to the ground.

yep, the DSE system is pretty much stand alone.
