I purchased a 67 chevelle that was in the process of being built into a pro street car. I found a stock frame and was thinking about installing a chassisworks canted 4-link setup in it. My questions are....

Is it a job that someone can do in his garage with little knowledge of chassis work. I've got a friend that's gonna help that has built a few 4-link Toyota's and has works at a fabrication shop for a few years.

How well will this perform in a a-body? I've searched and can't find this setup in any chevelle's( lots of camaro's though).

The last and most important question is; Is it gonna be worth all the extra time and cost to build this?

My last car was a 67 Malibu with the ridetech stage 2 and built ls2/t56 combo. I loved the way the car handled but always wanted a bigger tire. since someone already hacked away all the tin, I figured now would be a good time to tackle this. Thanks in advance for all the help.

I also forgot to mention that a friend has cut his who stock floor boards out of his 66 chevelle to install a art morrison frame. So another option would be to weld in stock floor and run the scandc suspension with AFX spindles.

Thanks.

Help! Has anyone installed one of these setups? Any pictures of the process. All the searches i do only come up with the g-link. Thanks

Send Carl Ogren a PM. Whenever I needed photos of build/install items the Customer Service folks at CAC seem to have access to photos not in the public domain, or not easily found by a Google/Yahoo search.

You won't find much info on people putting a triangulated 4-link in an A-body, as that is what they had from the factory.

If all geometry remained the same the only advantage you will get is that you can run a wider rear wheel.

Hey there black67malibu,
There are a bunch of cars running around with this suspension. Are you talking about updating the stock frame 4-link or converting to one of our 2x4 rear frames with canted 4-bar?

Here are a few with the stock style rear frame that I grabbed just off the top of my head. I think all three are posted here on this forum.

Russell Wells' GTO. Currently has stock style springs and VariShock bolt-in bodies in the back and plans to go coilover soon. Soon to be a magazine car.
