I saw that a few years ago when it came out. It is amazing. The view from inside the '59 looking forward is crazy.

Yeah the metal was much thicker on older cars but the shape of the structure just doesn't compare to modern cars. (or high strength steel).

That thin dog leg a-pillar just folded right up. I'll have to do my best to not get into any front offset collisions!

That video helped explain a lot. It showed a lot of the reason why the '59 didn't hold up well, which makes you think of ways to improve it.

Maybe should all take a closer look at the cars we're building & see if we can improve the crash protection in various ways.
