Not sure where this belongs so we'll start here. Have a situation where my e-fan bracket bolts will most likely hit/touch the radiator tanks. My first thought was to cover the button head with something or space it out further. But then it occurred to me nylon button/pan head bolts are out there. Has anyone used nylon bolts in a metal-to-metal situation - if so what was the result - any issues? -Bob

I used nylon fasteners to hold the dust shields on my front hubs on my late models, with no problems, ever. This was a relatively low heat area for me, as I ran primarily at a track that didn't require a lot of brake. I'm not sure however how a nylon fastener would last in an environment with sustained heat like against a radiator tank??
Ive seen electric fans come with plastic fasteners, for through the fin mounting, but I don't know if they actually work well. Perhaps the fin area doesn't see sustained heat due to airflow? Maybe these fasteners have an incredible heat tolerance, and I don't really know what I'm talking about?
I hope I haven't confused you more...
