Ok guys Im just fishing right now nothing for sure so just looking for some input and thoughts?

I will have a chance to buy a couple of acres of property over the next year sometime (maybe sooner).

So I'm thinking of letting my Camaro go?? My thoughts are this, if I finish it (body and paint wise) should I put it up for sale before I paint it and let the buyer pick the color, or just paint it a color that most would like?? The car is complete as most of you know. Runs and drive, I have a complete rebuilt 8.5 GM 10 bolt posi rear end to go in it.

So what do you think I could get for freshly painted 2nd gen?

I do not NEED sell it but the property is family owned and I could start to build my shed :D on it sooner and then build another car later.

Thoughts????

A lot more if you finished it.... I think you should keep it and finds the funds elsewhere. An almost stock 2nd gen with new paint 18-20 in a good market.

Rick,

What do you estimate the cost being to finish it?

Def buy the property, see if ya can presell the car, then ya, let the buyer choose the color. Its easy to do the driveline later for the buyer....

Vince at this point the car will go, shop first car second!! I could live with
18-20K!!

Skip, as far as out of pocket not much I have most of the parts I need and will be picking up the rest in the next week or so. At most a grand or so, but that is leaving it mostly stock!

Mike that's what I'm thinking, try to sell it before finial paint, that way the new owner can make the call on the color, or anything else they may want done.

As for the property that's for sure I have what I need for that, but the shop is what I need the extra cash for. This is where my wife and I are going to build our last house. It's where her grandparents have lived for the last 75+ years.

And after awhile Rick, you obviously can be a land baron AND a Camaro owner...or a Torino owner.

With a couple of acres you're sure to have room to build a shop that will fit a Torino

Thats friken awesome. Wish we had more of that here in Kali, but we have "great weather"....i'd rather have the shop! Thats why God let us invent heaters and a/c

Rick, Make it nice and straight, nice low stance, the right wheels and it will bring more than you think. I sold my gold 2nd gen for $40K. That car was nothing more than a nicely restored (top to bottom, inside and out) car that was lowered, wheels, BBC, and a TKO. I had offers on that thing every time I took it to a show.

Ha Ha! you guys are funny, Rick doesn't want me selling it unless he wants less money for it. There's a reason I don't work in sales at Jet Hot. :peepwall:

DSE drop leaves, drop spindles, 79 T/A way bars, and an IROC steering box was all that done to the suspension. I had to use a transverse muffler so it had enough ground clearance to actually be able to drive it.
