I had a acquaintance that flew one of these for Life Flight that never came back from attempting to rescue a logger in bad weather.

A High School friend also owned a similar Eurocopter which is the only whirlybird I've flown in........great trip up into the Cascade Mountain Range to his ski resort in bluebird weather, flew back at dusk and it was absolutely gorgeous.
