Thanks for the read. We should also put and RIP for Roger Rodas. I can't imaging that how horrible it was for his 8 year old son to see this. So sad.

He's on a whole different level as far as acting goes, but Paul Newman raced Porsche's as well I believe!

Yes he did......race team owner also!
He drove in the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans in Dick Barbour's Porsche 935 and finished in second place. Won his class in the 1995 24 hrs of Daytona. Raced the Baja 1000 in 2004 @ 79 years of age.
He was the Datsun guy in Trans Am and eventually founded a Champ car team Newman-Haus.
Founded Newmans own in 1982. Newman established a policy that all proceeds, after taxes, would be donated to charity. As of 2013, the franchise has donated in excess of $380 million.
He really accomplished to many things to list here.
Outclassed both the before mention guys in every category possible. Just saying. JMHO.

There also a great series on (one of the cable networks) right now documenting Patrick Dempsey's preparation and participation in the 24 hours of Le Mans. He's also a really down to earth guy and is rapidly becoming known for being more of a racer than an actor.
Great article by the way.

I'm convinced if I ever become famous, I'm never stepping foot within 10 feet of a Porsche.
