The 1969 Chevelle I recently bought has air ride bag suspension in rear, the former owner only added air in bags when he had 3-4 people in rear seat while cruising, or to lift rear for show, my question should air be left in bags and does air in bags interfer with shocks and springs, and what pressure should be used when adding air. I have no info on proper use.
Thanks Ellis:thankyou:

Are there steel springs still in the rear, or air only?
You can put whatever amount of air it takes to get to the proper ride height. You cannot over extend, or lower too much, as you still need suspension travel so you still have ride quality.
If you don't want to add air to the front, you may want to investigate a small "overload" style compressor system which will allow you to raise and lower the rear from the drivers seat (no need to get out and fill it with shop air).
