Hey guys,

I just want to say hi and introduce myself. I'm currently on the hunt for a '66 chevelle (think i've found 'the one'... just working out price and delivery right now).

My plans include an lsx swap (budget 5.3 or 6.0), it already has 4 wheel disc and brand new suspension (in line with stage 1 type kits). I want to make it a pro/grand-touring build. with comfort paramount but the power and handling to back it up. I also have plans to develop some gadgets for the interior to bring it into the 21st century. I'm currently designing and coding up my lcd gauge panel. I will also have a central 'knob' to control most functions with minimizing the time you spend taking your time off the road.

Other then that, been doing a lot of reading on the forums and finding out what is possible with these beasts!

edit:
one question i have. the owner has a rebuilt engine in the car (HO 327 (0hrs)roller rockers,882 heads, T-5 5 speed). He is trying to sell it to a buddy, but if he can't i'm still going to take the car. I was wondering how much an engine/trans like this is worth? (i tried to post it in the 'what's it worth forum, but don't have permissions to post there yet). Reason i ask, i wonder if it's worth it for me to buy the car with the engine and sell it on my own, or if it's better to buy it w/o the engine)

Thanks

yeah, i've looked through that thread a few times. i'm very impressed and humbled by most people on these forums. I dont have the pocketbook, mechanical ability or technique to do some of the swaps, paint jobs and mods that you guys are doing. i'll be focusing on more modest upgrades. Hopefully i'll use some of my geeky knowledge and skill to contribute here

We have all levels of talent and income on this site, and all are very welcome. That's the great thing, you don't have to have an unlimited budget or skill set to have fun and build a cool car.
