The LS7/9 Dry Sump is BACK

Wanted to pass this along. After not producing this pan for a couple years Speedtech is now back in production. the ATS ls7 pan is the original conversion pan for the LS7. it will also fit the LS9. we can also supply the custom designed dry sump tank and breather that will fit in the confined space behind the pass headlight on a first gen.

I can't say enough great things about these pans. We've run ours on our old LS7 for 5 years without issue. It fits a stock sub like a glove and we never ever not once saw the kind of oil pressure fluctuations that so many guys have complained about. Another great returning product from SpeedTech!

I have had the LSX pan (which by the way are in production NOW)on the Nova since day one with a remote filter and cooler and have NEVER noticed the oil pressure gauge move under braking or cornering.
I have not had the fortune to use the LS7 pan so I will take James word for it.

Blake now that you and James mention it, most of the LS7 vette track guys use some form of pan baffle for oil controi. I realize they may be carrying more G's in long sweeping lefts (which is where these motors let go), but I'm wondering if there's that big a difference in our cars that it's not needed?

I think that the SpeedTech pan has more of a "by design" sump to them than the OEM pans do. The oil drains better in to the sump leaving more around the pickup and it's much more difficult for the oil to escape the sump dynamically. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but the pickup on the SpeedTech oil pan has a lot more surface area than the OEM one does and placement in the sump is about ideal.

The only other part would be the Front drive system but there are too many others to choose from with better manufacturing capability and there for lower prices, so not likely to see that again. Same deal with the headers.

What is the difference in this oil pan and say the ARE oil pan? what about oil tanks?
