Not sure of a category to put this particular question........Please excuse if in wrong section.

67-69 CAMARO MOLDED COWL INDUCTION HOOD INSULATION BLACK ...anyone use this type with good results, pros/cons?

It's the same one I have, only negative I noticed compared to my previous non-molded version is the radiator cap makes "slight" contact and has worn the decal on a portion of the cap. The car in respect to subframe, front sheet metal and radiator is stock but it has been manipulated due to an accident in it's previous life.

Ok, thanks....I have the other rougher type now and it rubs on the fender braces and radiator cap and thought this one maybe easier on the aluminum things and not show...

One could probably glue a piece of felt or similar to the liner at the contact point to minimize the abrasive nature of the liner material. Or cut a relief in it and back it with something thin and black so it doesn't stand out.
