I think you are right on the ZX3:

Yep that is the ZX3.

FYI, the GZ3 is the updated version of the ZX3 that employs the new I-beam spoke design to add strength and reduce weight. We still sell a lot of ZX3s, but if you like this wheel and want the latest engineering and manufacturing tech, then consider the GZ3 too. http://www.forgeline.com/products/performance-series-step-lip/gz3-17-18-19-20.html

Also FYI, if it were missing a center cap and had a deeper center area around the lug holes, then it would be the ZX3R.

And if it were a flat lip outer and the spokes connected to the rim register from the inside of the radius (versus connected to the front of the rim register), then it would be the ZX3P.

Mike, not a problem. Sounds great! But which wheel are you referring to?
FYI, I don't fly out until Tuesday morning and am not sure what time I'll make it to the booth. So please be prepared to talk to Steve and/or Dave too. Thanks!

This is the one model I love. And I love the exposed screws. To me, the screws just add a little more detail to the rim register.

FYI, exposed hardware is available on most Forgeline wheel models. The exception is when a model has a big chamfer along the front edge of the rim register (like the CF3C shown below). You need a nice flat surface to do the exposed hardware on the front.

But any model with a flat register is fair game for exposed hardware. Including the GZ3 posted above.

Just to illustrate the point above with a side by side comparison...

Yep that sounds great, Scott! Do you have a guess what time window you might want to talk on Wednesday? (I'll try not to wander too far away.)

Mark, please don't wait around for me. I am not sure what time I will be able to get there. I am going with a few other car guys. Do you have a best time frame that you will be there for awhile?

I'd say early afternoon is my best guess. Plane is scheduled to arrive at 9AM. Can't check into the hotel that early anyway, so I'll probably drop off my luggage, find some food, and head straight to the show. So maybe 1-3PM?

Dave and Steve will also be working on Tuesday. So if you miss me, they'll help you.

Travel safely!!

I'd like the GZ3 without the hardware exposed, polished outer rim, and some sort of brushed center.

Was what was in the DSE a GZ3 or the ZX3?
What are the differences? i couldn't tell other than the manufactoring is different?

I'm cool with either....

Sounds cool! We can do that.

The DSE Camaro at the start of this thread was on the ZX3. (That car was built before the release of the GZ3.)

Well the GZ3 is the newer updated version of the ZX3. The main difference is that it is designed with I-beamed spokes, which increases the strength and rigidity of the spokes plus reduces weight. So holding all else constant, the GZ3 is stronger, stiffer, and lighter.

I'll try to post a couple closeups of the spokes. OK, I'm struggling to find a closeup shot of the ZX3 spokes, so I'll use the ZX3R. (Same wheel, just more material hogged out of the lug center and won't accept a standard press-in center cap.) It is the spokes that I want you to see.

Ok, i can see it now. I wasnt sure what you ment by "I" beam (and i am familar with construction) as i couldnt see it before. I like the non I beam type. And dont go changing that outer lip color on me cause now im falling for the blue with black (colors of the car). Just kiddn, thanx for all your checking in.....
