There is a pretty good chance HAWKS go undefeated on way to our 1st super bowl victory this year, do not see much standing in the way...for those of you who say Denver, did you miss the preseason? we shut down manning/1st team! GO HAWKS!

Always amazes me the fans that show there head once the team has success. They look stong but fat lady aint even got a microphone yet. Remember 90% of teams, including the seachicks and winers are one qb injury from being in the cellar.

There is bandwagon fans for every team. Everyone thinks Seattle has the most bandwagon fans since more attention is focused on the hawks. Seattle has always had a huge fan base you just didn't see it until recently. When Seattle was in the afc west they still filled the dome. The fact is there isn't a offense in the league that can deal with that stingy defense. Wilson is still dusting off the rust, and Seattle hadn't even had a healthy team yet. When December comes around most forget that harvin will be back. Irvin's back next week too. San Fran won by 6pts at candlestick last year. Seattle never got beat by more the a td all last year reg season.

Guys I don't think anyone is discounting the Seahawks, they are a very good team, but again it don't mean nothing in January if you loss by one TD or ten TDs!! A loss is a loss and if you look at the last 20+ years the number one seeds lose more then win!! Not bashing it's just facts!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again
"IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE LUCKY THEN GOOD COME JANUARY IN THE NFL"!!
And I'm a season ticket holder for the Bears, remember last year 7-1 to start the season finished 10-6 and didn't make the playoffs.
Every team is one or two injuries away from a great season going to a very bad season!!!

Funny how some people forget about the 2007 Patriots at 16-0 only to lose the Super Bowl. The best team in the NFL can't be determined until the final seconds tick off the Super Bowl game clock. Like Ricky Bobby's daddy would say "if you ain't first, you're last!"

Winning the SB is about being "hot" at the right time... Not kicking everyone's ass in the regular season... especially not the first 7-10 games of the regular season
Ask the giants, packers, and ravens...barely squeaked into playoffs and won SB...

The odds are ALOT better of starting out 4-0 making the playoffs, then 0-4, and even starting 0-3 i think its happened 3 times? just saying ITS SEATTLES TIME! And, id imagine any team will be playing a lot better later in season with reps, and becoming familiar with playbooks/timing

Sure funny to read posts from fans. Perspective and reality are absent. " Its our time, we get no calls, undefeated, we are owed something." Be careful if you want those things factored in. Pete Carroll didn't exactly leave USC under morally correct standards. The football gods have ways of getting even.

Ron, since you don't have a professional team any where near you, I believe the "man" rules allow you to root for any team you want. If I was you, I would root for either Denver, Kansas City, New Orleans or Indy all of which at this point in the season are better than Seattle. Unfortunately, I am a Raider fan. Why the negativity? That is what gets the mods to lock these type of threads and rightfully so. Not sure why you are turning this into a "my dad can beat up your dad" children's game. We are all just fans, it's not like we play in the games. Guys, there is too much parity in the NFL today. It's more than just comparing stats and saying, "X" team is better than "Y" team. These guys are all good and hence in the NFL for a reason. Some fans may figure certain guys don't belong, but they made and NFL roster for a reason. Players play the game to win and don't show up willing to lose. Sometimes the coaching or play execution is what causes them to lose. But, just because it looks good on paper, as far as stats are concerned, doesn't mean a team will go out and win or lose. I live in Dallas and I'm a Cowboy fan of course. But, I'm willing 2 bet nobody thought Dallas would put up 48 points on Denver last week and only lose by 3. Players show up every week to win, not lose. Just look at perennial power teams that are struggling right now....Giants, Steelers, Falcons. Then compare that to the usual sub-par to average teams....Chiefs, Bengals, Browns. Besides, any real football fan knows that the second half of the season is where it's time to start grinding and digging deep within yourself to stay competitive. By the time the second half, those last 8 games, you're banged up, playing with injuries, tired from week-to-week traveling, being asked to carry the load and do more because a starter is not playing and a player from the practice squad is now your new center, guard or wide receiver with not too much playing experience, etc. Then, lastly....the slate is wiped clean in the playoffs and everybody's suddenly equal. Just ask the 16-0 Patriots who lost Super Bowl XLII (42) to a regular season record of 8-8 Giants in 2007. Ohh, one last point. Playoff contention is not measured solely by the best overall record. It's measured by the best conference record. Therefore, a team can be 10-6 overall with a conference record of 3-5, putting them in 2nd place in the conference. And a team with a reagular season record of 8-8, can have a conference record of 7-2 and be number one in the conference. The playoff format only accepts the #1 team from each conference. So, with saying that, all this jazz about being 5-0 or 7-2 up to a certain point doesn't mean squat in the regular season if you don't end up in the #1 slot in your conference. So, your favorite team can beat the snot out of all these non-conference games and lose the key conference games and they'll be at home with you watching the playoffs, doing this..........:hairpullout: or this......:bang:

The best "right now" and the best when the battle is over are two difference things. I'd rather be the best when the SB ring is on my finger. That's all I'm saying. Then there's no question, no debate, no opinions.

I'm confused:confused18: Denver and Kansas City are both undefeated. Last week Oakland beat San Diego and Indy beat Seattle. This week San Diego beat Indy. Does this mean that Oakland, Indy, San Diego, Kansas City and Denver are all better than Seattle.

Titans are 10x the team the raiders are.....I can't believe the raiders scored against KC!!! Ill buy into the KC hype when they beat someone credible!
And they beat the Titans and Dallas too! I am definitely not saying that KC is an "awesome" team, heck earlier I said that I'm used to seeing them choke! LoL! Heck, they went 9-0 in '03 and lost in the playoffs to the Colts, IN KC!! I'm just saying that I am a fan even when they suck!:hello:
But to the ones that say they have an easy schedule (which is pretty true) and they don't believe it "yet", they have the lowest points allowed and the highest forced turnovers in the league, so they ain't too awful bad. Are they a SB team? Not a chance in my mind, but MUCH better than I expected they would be this year. I think they just need an offense and they could be great. But, the Denver game will be interesting to say the least!:popcorn2:
The ring goes to the best team that plays THAT DAY, and in the playoffs. Who here picked the Ravens early last year?!?! Ummm, what's that I hear, crickets?!? LoL!

Check out current power rankings if you have concerns....Denver/chiefs opponents have same records 11-25 not like either teams have remotely difficult schedules thus far...prob a good reason they are undefeated

You do realize that Seattle has only beaten one team with a winning record, that being the Niners. Seattle's opponents have a combined record of 15-20. While not as bad as Denver and Kansas City, that is nothing to write home about. Not bashing, just comparing apples to apples. I don't really pay attention to the power rankings since the entire NFL seems to be soft this year. In fact if you really want to compare apples, I doubt any team in the league can say their opponents have a combined winning record since only 12 of the 32 NFL teams carry a winning record.

What you missed to point out in your confused post is that Oakland won at HOME , Indy beat the hawks @ HOME, and San Diego guess what won at HOME!!!!! Seattle is also undefeated at HOME

Power rankings in football don't mean crap if your concerned. Lombardi trophies are all that matters. Some teams have some and alot don't.

Look at the teams KC has played...only 1 team has a winning record.... they are overrated...
And Denver's defense is going to stop them from winning a SB this year....its Manning and the Colts all over....impressive offense, but the defense is so weak, they wont make it far in the playoffs
69cortezsilver

They can't be the most overrated..... Somebody has to give them credit first, therefore they can't be overrated! :P LoL! But I would say that Denver will win one of the games in my opinion, but would bet that KC takes the one at home. Not cause they're a better team, but just the way they usually play the Pony's! LoL! They have won most of the games between the two, even in the crappy years.
See how this works, Reality of weaknesses and strengths, not just "my team is the best ever and can do no wrong!" LoL! :stirthepot:

BC Lions, meh CFL is bush league compared to NFL. As for the Rams they traded away the pick for RG3 to the Redskins. They didn't have much of a choice Bradfords year was the last of the huge Rookie QB Contracts they would have had to cut him and get nothing or try and trade him with that massive contract.
Hawks are looking good, I'm just not a fan of theirs even though I go to their home games every year.

Yeah man, Wilson got sacked like 6 times right? And they almost got beat by a 3-4 team with a backup QB. Guys like I said in the NFL one turnover can end a playoff run. Pathetic last few plays for the Rams to try for the TD. Rams are still young and rebuilding.
You Seahawk fans better pray for homefeild advantage.

A "W" is a "W". But, like I was saying, every week in the NFL and every win is gonna get harder and harder as the season starts to take it's toll on all players. This is just the 1st half of the season. Now, it's but to get tight on some teams and seperate the men from the boys. I'll just wait and see. :tv_happy: Oh, and get your :popcorn2: ready. LOL!!

Maybe they had a "key" player out but not 2 starting o-lineman, all that aside give rams credit they have an awesome pass rush and front 7..they gave that backup qb double the time Wilson had to throw..we will get Percy back next week or so and pro bowler okung soon enough as well! For all you "turtle" haters just look at best record NFC that's the only stat that really maters! 7-1 GO HAWKS!

Not a hater, good team for sure! But prolly not the "best", have to wait another few games to see if they can actually claim that title.
But pretty sure that they wouldn't look that strong if Wilson were out, good QB's can usually carry a team pretty far. And he is an amazing QB!!
Edit: Didn't someone say that the "stats" didn't really matter earlier? Going by that theory, then KC must be better than everyone cause they are the only one 8-0!!! LMAO!!:stirthepot: :poke:
