Looking for a certified appraiser that is familiar with our type of cars, that is located in or near the Las Vegas, NV area (So. Cal., AZ. or Utah also??)
There are a couple of "Classic Car" appraisers here in town, but they are mainly geared towards to stock type cars, and in talking with them, are not knowledgeable as to the parts and modifications that are commonly done to these cars.
Trying to get all the documentation in place and get a agreed value insurance policy for my 68' that I have been working on the past years
Thanks in advance, Jeff

You don't need it. I had 95k and 100k policies with nothing more than pictures and application.

If they get back to you and lowball the value, it is probably because they aren't aware of the parts. That happened to me, and I had to fax over invoices for all the suspension items/wheels and tires so that they could grasp the extent of the money pit. :G-Dub:

They do not sound like the appropriate insurer for your car. They don't have to know the parts and mods intimately but requiring an appraisal is the other red flag.
Here are just some I know of and I am sure there are others:
Hagerty
Grundy
Infinity
Heacock
MK Insurance
Good luck.

Jeff,
Don't bother with "Classic Cars", they suck at that. Contact Blake at Speedtech. They are in St. George. They can probably help you.

Thanks for all the input guys!
Curtis, I did think of Blake, but seems to be hard to get a hold of? or at least a reply back? (a couple emails sent previously on other things) I can't always call during business hours due to work schedule
Thanks, Jeff

If able, call during business hours. You can talk to Rodger, Jay, Blake or Anita. I'm sure any of them can answer your question. Let me know if you need help getting a hold of them.
