Hope everyone that's on here from there is doing ok with all the flooding. I'm assuming Sonar Chief is doing ok since he's posted recently. Anyone else from that area?

Thanks for asking Trey, I live in Elizabeth and we are pretty safe here, we had 7 inches of rain in 2 days but does not compare to what Boulder county has seen or anybody down stream on the Platte River.Been saying a lot of prayers lately.

I am in between Boulder and Denver and while the ground is saturated it was looking pretty good yesterday. For the past few days Boulder has essentially be "closed" as the main hwy in was shut down, so I was going to run up to Boulder today to get fasteners at the hardware store there and grab some lunch at a favorite spot.
Well...
It has been raining all AM and in fact pouring rain for the past few hours and the streets around my house are running hard with water, so I can only imagine what the Boulder folks are dealing with right now. So much for running some errands - we are going to stay in today and just watch racing.
One issue I never thought about before but has been a real problem with some of my friends and co-workers is basement window wells filling full of water and then coming into the interior and flooding the basement. I have a finished basement but, fortunately, a newer home, so it has pretty deep window wells. I went to Home Depot yesterday and there was a sign right when you walked in with "Sump Pumps Aisle #" as pretty much every person coming in the door was looking for pumps and that told them right where to go.
Yesterday I also heard flash flood warnings on the radio all afternoon and evening, right up until I shut down at 9pm, for SE Denver area that were to last all thru today and now I see why.

Glad you guys are safe. I know I went up to Manitou and Woodland Park a couple months ago now and it just happened to have been a few days after the mud/dirt slide that occurred on Hwy 24. I had no idea until I saw the signs and the evidence. Luckily it was cleaned up cause I was on the bike. Hopefully things start to dry out soon for everyone. Feel free to send the rain a little ways east. We could use it over here.
