Guys Im wondering if anyone had a pic of their dash carrier in their 69 nova? Need to see the differences between the 69 Camaro and 69 nova cause Im putting a dash pad and gauge cluster from a nova in my Camaro. Need a pic of the carrier with the dash pad and gauge cluster removed. Any help would be great.
Thanks
Steve

the nova does not have the center bulge where the clock is on a 69 camaro, you will need a nova dash pad to work with nova carrier in a camaro.

I am switching out both the pad and the cluster just wanna see what I'm missing to bolt in the gauge cluster.

don't forget the steering column cover if you are looking through the yards.

I'm gonna run an aftermarket steel dash insert made for a nova. So I hope that's not gonna be an issue.

I can see about getting some pics one day this week. I believe the difference is that the top flange is vertical on the Camaro and horizontal on the Novas. My dash top was replaced and since that part isn't available for a Nova the shop used one for a Camaro. The flange for mounting the console was all that was swapped.

I also think think the right side of the gauge console is different between the 2 models. The Camaro wraps around and the Nova does not.

Just curious but why do you want to swap them? There is much better aftermarket support for the Camaro dash consoles than for the Novas. I've asked DSE a million times about doing a Nova dash like their Camaro dash. No luck so far. Once you go with an aftermarket gauge console the dash will be almost identical anyway. Exception being the center "bulge" in the Camaro dash.

I've kicked myself more than once for not swapping my Nova to a Camaro dash since I was having the dash top replaced anyway.

Which metal console are you looking at for the Novas? The PVW one?

Sorry to hijack, but does anyone have one of the PVW units installed?
Does it fit?

Thanks!!

I really appreciate the photos if possible. Reason why is i dont like the hump in the center of the dash pad and cluster. I think the Novas are much cleaner!! I'm running a steel dash insert from a nova. I think it will be worth it in the end. I will try and post a pic.

rchaskin,

There is at least one member that I'm aware of over on Steve's Nova site that has installed that console. IIRC he had a minor fitment issue but PVW was good about fixing it for him. Honestly I don't think they are as nice as a DSE setup. However, they are less expensive - or were - and DSE has doesn't make one for Novas so what are we gonna do... :)

Thanks for the info.

I was plannning this scenario in reverse.
I wanted to run a DSE camaro dash and dashpad on a Nova......
