Brake Pad Compounds

hey,, can any of you guys help me out with brake pad selection..?

I have wilwood 4 spot 7112 series front brakes on a 69 camaro and need a more agressive brake pad ,,I have non assisted brakes , rear discs ..

the pad i am running now is the BP-10 # 150-8850K which is basically what came with the kit. My brakes have got no 'bite' but i dont what to clean my rims after every drive either.. My car is street driven only with no track time at all..

The challenge with your request is they conflict. If you go to a more aggressive pad ... they're going to make more dust.

I understand that Ron ,, but there must be a compromise as the pads seem to rate in increments in compounds.. more bight than i have but not super aggressive ...i just find the wilwood guide a bit confusing..

Yup, you're correct. So you're ok with a little more brake dust to get some more braking force.

I'm of no help here, because while I know the CoF curves of pads inside & out ... I never paid any attention to how much brake dust one pad created over another.

Hopefully some guys will come on here that have experience with pads with higher CoF than the Wilwood BP-10 ... and paid attention to brake dust ... and can offer their insight.

If you look at my Hawk HP Plus pads wrong they produce dust. They compliment the engine emissions nicely. :D

Not true. I know I can have a set made for your exact combination that will last 100,000 miles plus, have very little dusting and a high amount of cold bite, be very easy on rotors and have an easy to clean non carcinogenic dust. The down side is the $225 a set price tag.
