Well I'm trying to get finalize my seats for my Camaro. Looking for something more on the OE side? Maybe even with the belts built in? I still want them to be snug but its a street car first not a race car. So anyone got any good ideas? I've spent hrs looking over other projects and eBay and Craigslist just trying to find something that will look good in the car. I'm still using my back seat so they need to recline.

Please show me what you are using or maybe plan to use??

Rick,
I have a 22 year old version of this seat fabric covered and it is VERY comfortable. https://www.recaro-automotive.com/us/product-areas-us/aftermarket-seats/product/specialist.html

Easy in and out, great lateral support, and on 100-200 mile trips they're so comfortable I don't even squirm around once, and with a surgically repaired back I can't say that about most "nicer" OEM seats.

I done gen 4 seats. Have a look of the gen 2 seat but more style. You can look at my build for what it looks like. Hope this helps

Thanks Sieg, thoughts look real nice!! I found a set of Recaros out of a Cobalt SS so well see!!

Nice seats they look good as well! The issue I have with the fourth gen seats is most that are for sale are junks so then I need to completely rebuild them not just recover them.

I used the Procar Rally seats with the smooth back option. I like the look a lot. They are also comfortable for daily driving and give decent lateral support on the track.

Just checked those out, they seem nice. How's the quality of the seats? The pictures on their site look a little cheesy?? I know it's just pictures, got any of yours in the car?

When I first got the seats I was disappointed with the quality mainly the material. Once in the car they looked better and have held up well the last couple of years. In general I'm happy with them, especially for the price. I'll try to find a pic of them in the car for you. One thing I did not like where the mounts because it was impossible to fit a helmet or tall person in the car. I ended up remaking them but it seems that's a very common issue with Gen II's

Yes I had to get another set also. The frames were in pod shape the 1 st time . Luck for me a friend has a salvage yard. So the pick was free. Good luck with the camaro.

Rick, i used the sliders from morse industries for the recaro seat, i have thesame ones as sieg, but mine are a little wide for me.....still on the lookout for the right "one" (seat that is...lol)

I sat in a new ford focus ST yesterday and it has a sweet pair of Recaros in it!!! Way to tall with the seat tracks they have under them but that could be changed.

On a side note what a nice little car, stick, 18 inch wheel, Recaro seats, $30k window! Not bad!!

:sieg: How skinny are you? I'm 10.5, 170, 34W, 31.5 IS. They don't lock me in like a race seat......but it's not a race car. :D

same size, but i can fit three fingers between my ribcage and the right or left bolster depending which one im up against. not looking for the tightness of a race seat, but the snugness of a good fitting shoe. i have a corbeau trs office chair, too snug. i just sat in the recaros of the new ford focus at the gg west coast nats last weekend and they were just right...
