As anyone pissed about time warner dropping speed channel for fox sports. Got to sign up to direct tv:bigun2:

It was not dropped, fox sports bought speed and turned it into another espn channel.

really upset here also! I think there is already too many stick and ball sports channels. Why take one of the few car channels and make it like the rest?

Super p1ssed as well. I have direct and got it because it had speed 2 months ago. I had no idea this was happening. What are we to do now. Im already on this site 2hrs a day.

I agree 100%,if we want to watch ball games they are already plenty of channels for that.

I got Direct so that I could get velocity. Way better channel. :D

Velocity has some good shows, some not so good IMHO. I like to watch build shows. But, ones without fake drama.
I haven't seen one show on Spe.... FoxSports1 during my normal viewing times that is car related.
O-well, more time to spend in the garage!!

They should have just fired the program director at Speed. Who gave the green light to produce all the dumb shows they had on that channel every week?

Car Warriors, 5 year old episodes of Pinks. The only time the channel was worth anything was on the weekend. Aussie supercar, FIA rally, Craftsmen truck race, I can live without the hours of talk show about nascar again and again.

The NBC sports channel and MAVTV seem to be picking up where the Speed Channel left off.

Yeah, I really can't think of anything that was worth watching on speed anymore, other then Barrett Jackson, which will be on FOX1, FOX2 and History. That and the one off type show like the Optima event, Monterey Historics, etc. :animated_bye_bye_em

anybody know what channel is going to have the Sprint Cup races? I record 'em then watch 'em later but I for the life of me cannot figure out what channel has the race this Saturday night. I see the Nationwide race on the new channel but no Cup.

I basically watched V8 Supercars, Sprint Cup and F1 stuff when they had it (that seemed to move to another channel IIRC); all the other shows on Speed as many have noted were crap. Didn't they have a show called Wrecked as well that followed tow trucks around? WTF does that have to do with anything really, let alone racing?

I don't know about you guy's but I for one do not care to watch a bunch of unshaven gangster lookin tatoo'ed covered ball player's.I couldn't wait for the V8 supercar's to come on speed,HotRod TV on sat.Morning's.And Faster than a Redneck was pretty good.Thank God for the internet and V8 TV.Well spike & PowerBlock will be our go to Car/info show's.Maybe now we have to listen to Darrell Waltrip sayin Boogtie,Boogtie let's go racin, anymore.Fox Sport's:disgusted: :disgusted: :disgusted:

NBC Sports channel on Comcast/Xfinity appears to be acquiring the Speed fallout.

There's probably a lot of negotiation and posturing taking place that's leaving the enthusiast in limbo.........hopefully some of the "suits" doing the negotiations are true motorsports enthusiasts.

I've only seen one episode, on the Japanese tuner/ restorers, and it was very good. I like velocity alot, but no racing. Between ESPN (nascar and nhra) MAVTV (offroad) NBC (f-1, open wheel) CBS (moto and some obscure stuff) and FOX1 ( the remainder of speed stuff) We'll all have to channel surf....good thing for DVR's

Velocity has a show called Car Fix. Lou Santiago and Jared Zimmerman - two guys that used to be on Spike's Power block - are the hosts. To me, that have some good tech. without too much promoting of the products (like Two Guys Garage - a half hour commercial basically). They have done some interesting stuff.
Just my 2 pennies
