Hi guys,

I did a search to no avail...

I'm doing a LQ9 swap as we speak and was wondering if the stock manifold fits under the hood of a 1968 camaro? It looks very close at about 11" clearence and the manifold being like 10.5" with rough measurements.

The reason why I am asking is because I am going to do a L92/LS3 intake combo later so if it doesn't fit, I'll have to use a readily available LS1 intake in the mean time.

Thank you in advance.

I'm not for sure if it fits or not, I know it's tight under chevelle hoods. I'm doing a swap right now on my nova, but I've got a 2" cowl hood.

Camaro flat hood?.. no.

2 inch cowl?.. yes, but you might have to trim the supports.

i suggest doing this though.. shave all the supports on the stock manifold.. looks pretty good.. the Hammerhead vette did it first.

Thanks a lot for this info but I'd like to stay away from a cowl. I like the flat stock camaro hood.

That's a good looking mani but I really want to keep the look of the stock hood.

Alternator and intake hang out too high

Alternator and intake hang out too high

That's a shame, the location of the alternator can be easily relocated. Looks like I'm going to run the ls1 intake for now until I get L92 heads...
